Every row here is generated from the same records as the encyclopedia and the WADA hub.1
S2 is the List's section for peptide hormones, growth factors and related substances; most named peptides sit there and are prohibited at all times.1
Some sections apply to men only. S2.2.1 covers testosterone-stimulating peptides in males, which is why hCG and the GnRH drugs read differently by sex.1
Unsettled means unsettled. Where S0 turns on an approval outside the US that we have not verified, we say so rather than guess.1

Growth hormone secretagogues and GHRH analogues
These compounds raise the body's own growth hormone. Section S2.2.4 of the List covers growth hormone releasing factors: GHRH and its analogues (CJC-1295, sermorelin, tesamorelin among its examples), growth hormone secretagogues and their mimetics (ibutamoren, which is MK-677, and ipamorelin among them) and the GH-releasing peptides (GHRP-2, GHRP-6 and others). AOD-9604 appears among the growth hormone fragments.1

Repair and growth-factor peptides
The healing peptides sold for injuries fall into two groups: growth factors and their modulators, which S2.3 covers, and unapproved compounds such as BPC-157 that no section names, which S0 reaches.1 TB-500 and thymosin β4 are different molecules; see TB-500 is not thymosin beta-4.

GLP-1 and metabolic peptides
The approved GLP-1 drugs are a different case from the research compounds beside them. Semaglutide's row shows its 2027 Monitoring Program entry: WADA watching for misuse.2 MOTS-c is named for its mechanism; our MOTS-c review covers the evidence behind that.

Hormones, fertility drugs and melanocortins
hCG, gonadorelin, kisspeptin and the GnRH drugs act on the reproductive axis, and the List treats several of them as testosterone-stimulating in males (S2.2.1).1 Women's medicine uses many of them legitimately; our women, pregnancy and peptides section covers that side. See the hCG entry for the approved products.

Nootropic, sleep and immune peptides
Several of these are approved in one country and not others, which is exactly where S0 becomes uncertain: the List exempts a substance with a current approval by any governmental health authority, and we have not verified each foreign approval. Selank is an example.1

How to read the tables
2027 List applies to samples collected from January 1, 2027; 2026 List applies until then.13 Specified affects how a case is sanctioned under the Code, and the List says a Specified substance should not be considered less important or less dangerous.1 Monitoring Program entries are not prohibitions.2 The full set of compounds in our encyclopedia is on the WADA hub, and every entry's legal table reads from the same records.
Frequently asked questions
Why does a row say unsettled?
S0 does not apply to a substance with a current approval for human therapeutic use by any governmental health authority. Where a compound is approved only outside the US and we have not verified that approval, we do not read S0 either way.
Is a substance on the Monitoring Program banned?
No. WADA monitors substances that are not prohibited, to detect patterns of misuse.

This section reports the WADA Prohibited List, the anti-doping standards and published research, and our reading of them. It is not legal advice or an anti-doping ruling: an athlete's own anti-doping organisation gives the answer that counts. Grey Peptides sells nothing, links to no seller and rates none.
